Auctions are without doubt one of the most exciting ways to participate in the buying process. It is really easy to get caught up in the excitement and have a rewarding and enjoyable buying experience. If you haven't been to one then you just don't know what you are missing!
Auctions also provide the opportunity to reap great bargains to the shrewd operator.
T. S. McMahon Auctioneers commenced trading in December 1994 under the guidance of Terry and Jo-Ann McMahon and has firmly established itself in the fast developing northern corridor of Perth, Western Australia.

Over this period the company has developed a wide network of suppliers including local manufacturers, importers and retailers. Our services include the flexibility to conduct not only floor sales via our massive showroom but, auctions which are conducted every second Tuesday, again at our showroom complex.

Auction items include everything for the homemaker, from pre loved vases and pictures to full dining and lounge suits and of course the complete range of modular bathroom and kitchen designs.

Participating in an auction is pretty straightforward and of course we can provide you with auctioneering expertise should you wish to conduct your own auction for personal or business purposes. The general conditions for conduct of our auctions are listed below:

1. All persons wishing to bid must have a buyer number. 2. Subject to any reserve price, the highest bidder shall be the purchaser, but if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the lot in dispute will, at the discretion if the Auctioneer be put up again and be re-sold. 3. The Auctioneer may, without giving any reason therefore, refuse to accept a bid of any persons and may decline the offer for any lot or withdraw any lot from sale. 4. The vendor shall have the right to bid by the Auctioneer or by the Vendor’s agent for any lot offered. 5. A deposit of 20% will be paid on the fall of the hammer (if not paying in full) and the balance of payment within 24 hours of the termination of the sale. 6. In the case of non-payment of such deposit, the lot in question shall be put up again and re-sold, either immediately of at the discretion of the Auctioneer, and the defaulters bid shall not be taken again during the sale. 7. Payment will be by way of cash (with I.D.) or eftpos. Credit card facilities are available – with a 2% extra charge. 8. Failure to comply with the above conditions, all monies received in part payment shall be absolutely forfeited to the Vendor, and the lot or lots in question be re-sold by public Auction or Private Contract and the deficiency (if any) on any such re-sale shall be made by the defaulter at the sale. 9. The whole of the lots having been available for inspection, no allowance or refund will be made, nor will any buyer be permitted to reject any lots on the grounds that it is not correctly described. The said lots are to be taken with all faults (if any) and will be at the buyers risk at the fall of the hammer, and therefore the Vendor will be free of all responsibility for safe guarding the goods and will not be liable for any loss or damage to the goods sold, whether such loss or damage is caused or contributed to, by any act, neglect or default to the Vendor, its servants, employees or agents. 10. Although information has been obtained from sources deemed reliable and every care has been taken in advertising and in the compilation of the catalogue, the Auctioneer and/or Vendors accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for any misdescription and make NO WARRANTY or GUARANTEE, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy herein contained. 11. Any electrical disconnection to be done by qualified tradesman. 12. Members of the public attend at their own risk, no responsibility is accepted for any accident. 13. The buyer is wholly responsible for any damage to property or injury to persons incurred during the removal of a lot or lots purchased, including damage or injury caused by their agents or employees. 14. Time shall be the essence of the sale of any lot. 15. Terms, strictly settlement of account in full before delivery. |
